Sainte-Brigitte: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Sainte-Brigitte is located in the heart of the privately owned Forêt de Quénécan, which is open to the public. The Forêt de Quénécan, also known as “little Brittany Switzerland,” covers almost 3,000 hectares.

Nature

The Circuit du Roi Salomon is 16.0 kilometres long and takes around four hours. One possible starting point is at the Église Sainte-Brigitte in Sainte-Brigitte.

Culture and History

The Église Sainte-Brigitte has a baptismal font dating from 1650 and a holy water font from 1704. It also contains an altar dedicated to Saint Éloi, the patron saint of blacksmiths. The church stands at a site that was formerly a trève of Cléguérec and became a parish in 1820.

Industrial Heritage

Les Forges des Salles are considered an important example of Brittany’s industrial heritage and have been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments since 1980. The exceptionally well-preserved former ironworks village of Les Forges des Salles has been open to visitors since 1990, either independently or as part of a guided tour.
