Le Carton Voyageur focuses on a contemporary, interactive museum design featuring a 3D depiction of the 1900s, a photo studio, an interactive Ankou and accessible correspondence. The collection includes several thousand postcards dating from 1872 to the present day.

History and Trails

The Circuit des « Métiers d’autrefois » circular trail introduces children to the occupations that were once practised in Baud. Another historic site is the Chapelle Saint-Jacques de Crann: it stands 2 km from the centre of Baud, in the village of Crann, within an enclosure lined with trees. Built from granite rubble, the chapel dates from the 17th century and is dedicated to Saint James and Saint Isidore. A virtual tour of the Chapelle Saint-Jacques de Crann is also available.

Landscape

The 12 km Circuit des landes de Kerbraz circular trail begins at the Chapelle Saint-Jacques de Cranne in Baud. It leads to an old granite quarry and a Christianised menhir.

Water

The Club Nautique de Baud combines cycling excursions with kayaking or canoeing. It also offers canoe trips on the Blavet.

Gardens

The Jardins de la Vénus de Quinipily are romantic terraced gardens created to showcase the Venus statue. Rhododendrons, camellias, hydrangeas, heather, roses and other perennials grow there.
