Ploeren: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Ploeren becomes particularly tangible when short, shady paths connect with historic sites. The Boucle d’Assénac is a 7 km long, easy and shady circular trail. Strollers are possible there except in the section by the washhouse, and bicycles are allowed. The Sentier de Luscanen is 2.5 km long, easy and shady; access with a stroller is difficult, and bicycles are not allowed.

Paths

A 3 km long green route between Rue P. de Ronsard and Pont de Luscanen is intended for pedestrians and cyclists. Barriers or concrete curbs separate both from car traffic. In addition, a planned 3.5 km cycling connection between Ploeren and Arradon is to include a footbridge for crossing a wetland.

Culture and history

The Église Saint-Martin is a sight in Ploeren dating from the 15th, 17th and 20th centuries. The west door and the door of the southern porch are preserved from the church built in the 15th century.

The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Béléan was built in the 15th century and features Gothic windows and carved decorative elements. In its entirety, it is protected as a historic monument; it was listed by decree of 10 June 2020. Le Triskell offers a varied cultural program with conferences, concerts, performances and exhibitions.

The market in Ploeren brings together traders and producers with fresh and regional products.

The surroundings of Ploeren are home to Château du Plessis-Kaër, a castle, Allée couverte de Grah Niol, an ancient site, St. John Gate, a historic site, and Postern Gate, a historic site. The beaches Plage de Kerbilouet, Plage de Brouhel, plage de la Villeneuve and plage de Montsarrac are also located there.
