Nature and Landscape

Étang du Verger is a protected area covering six hectares. Thanks to its aquatic and woodland habitats, it is home to a great diversity of flora and fauna.

Culture and History

At Domaine du Lain, only the façade of the central manor house remains; it dates from the late 19th century. Chapelle Notre-Dame de Kergornet dates from the period between the 15th and 20th centuries. Its façade bears two bas-reliefs depicting mythical animals. The fountain of this chapel continues to be used for religious processions during the annual pardon.

Chapelle Sainte-Flamine was rebuilt from granite and cement after the war; it was originally designed in the Romanesque style.

Gestel has a TER railway station.
