Culture and History

The Église Saint-Cyr et Sainte-Julitte is the main attraction. It is classified as a historic monument; the protection was registered on 13 August 1990. The oldest surviving above-ground building elements, corresponding to the nave, probably date from the late 10th century. This religious heritage is complemented by the Chapelle de Brouël, a Gothic chapel, and the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Bon Secours in Ambon, which dates from the 13th century. The Moulin de Billion is part of Ambon's secular heritage.

Routes through Ambon

The routes differ significantly in length, difficulty and duration. The Circuit des Chapelles is an easy hiking trail covering 14 km, with an approximate duration of 3 hours and 45 minutes. The Circuit Kilig Ar Mor is a moderately difficult hiking trail covering 20 km; an approximate duration of 4 hours and 30 minutes is given for it. The very easy Voie Verte Bourg–Plages covers 14.3 km and has an approximate duration of 30 minutes. It connects Ambon's town centre with the beaches and can be used on foot or by bicycle.

Beaches and Coves

Tréhervé is one of Ambon's beaches, inviting visitors to relax and swim. Cromenach Beach is interrupted by small coves.
