Marzan: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Marzan can be explored via specific routes and historic sites. The Marzan VTT circuit C17 is 10 kilometres long and has an uphill elevation gain of 155 metres. The long-distance hiking trail Grande Randonnée 39 also passes through Marzan.

Landscape and Trails

The VTT route C19 connects Marzan with La Roche-Bernard and offers views of the bridges over the Vilaine. The Chemin des Ducs is a moderately difficult hiking trail measuring 11.7 kilometres in length. It connects Marzan with Arzal, regularly follows the Vilaine and offers panoramic views of the river.

The historic site of L'Isle is located along the Chemin des Ducs; in the Middle Ages, it was a residence of the Dukes of Brittany. The countryside around Marzan can be explored on horseback. The steep banks of the Vilaine can also be accessed from the grounds of the Pont du Morbihan.

Culture and History

The Chapelle Saint-Vincent-Ferrier dates from the 17th century and contains an altar, a reredos and polychrome wooden statues. The Chapelle Notre-Dame in Miquel became an important pilgrimage site. The 18th-century building has an attractive entrance portal and a bell gable.

Connections

The RN 165 expressway crosses Marzan from Nantes to Audierne in an east-west direction. Four departmental roads lead to Questembert, Malestroit, Arzal and Guérande.
