Nature and Trails

A 2.7 km discovery trail runs through the Landes de Jaunouse. It can be reached by car via the RD 179, which connects Combourtillé with Billé.

There is also the Vélo Promenade® cycle route no. 6, “Aux Alentours de Jaunouse”.

Culture and History

The Church of Notre Dame de l’assomption in Combourtillé dates from the 16th century and was remodelled in the mid-19th century. It consists of three naves connected by three arcades. The north aisle was built towards the end of the 15th century, and the south aisle in 1848. The church contains a stained-glass window created in 1917 by Auguste Alleaume, a glass painter from Laval.

The presbytery of Combourtillé was built in the 17th century and remodelled in the 19th century. It is located west of the church, near the western entrance to the church square.

The historic sites of St. Leonardo Tower, Papegaud Tower, Our Lady Gate and Fougères Castle are located in the vicinity of Combourtillé. Jardin du Parc is located in the wider regional area around Combourtillé.
