Nature and Leisure

On the north side of the pond, a bird-watching platform, picnic tables, benches, a barbecue and accessible fishing platforms have been set up. Day or annual permits are available for fishing.

Culture

The present-day Saint-Michel parish church in Liffré was built according to plans by Arthur Regnault between 1888 and 1891 and is designed in the Romano-Byzantine style.

The Centre culturel de Liffré has an auditorium with 340 seats as well as a smaller hall used in particular for performances for young audiences; this hall is called Salle Wendover. The cultural department at the Centre culturel de Liffré organises artist residencies.

The Cinéma Saint Michel is operated by a cultural association.

The Abbaye Notre-Dame-du-Nid-au-Merle monastery is located in the immediate vicinity of Liffré. In the wider region around Liffré are the Musée des Beaux-Arts museum, the Abbaye Notre-Dame-en-Saint-Melaine historic site, the Châteaugiron Castle historic site and the Jardin du Parc garden.
