Cesson-Sévigné: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The 39-hectare Parc de la Monniais is the largest natural area in Cesson-Sévigné.

Nature

The meadows and wooded areas of Parc de la Monniais are suitable for orienteering. Around fifty rare tree species also grow there, labelled for botanical discovery.

Parc de Champagné is open year-round and free to access.

Culture

Pont des Arts is located in Parc de Bourgchevreuil in the town centre of Cesson-Sévigné. It has an auditorium with 300 seats.

History

The Église Saint-Martin de Cesson-Sévigné was built between 1899 and 1904 at a new location, replacing an older church documented since the 12th century. The present building is a three-aisled Neo-Gothic church designed by the diocesan architect Arthur Regnault. The rose window was created between 1903 and 1906 by the Rault workshop from Rennes and restored in 2017.

Technology

The Musée des Transmissions – Espace Ferrié is an educational museum dedicated to the history of military communications and also commemorates civilian telecommunications. Its permanent exhibition is divided into a historical and a technological section. The technological section displays encryption machines, including Enigma, and covers information carriers, electronic warfare and radio transmissions.
