The Plage de Trégana is a small sandy beach with fine sand, facing south. Bodyboarding is possible on the beach.

Coastal hiking

The easy circular route Circuit rando n°12 – Les falaises de Déolen covers 13 km; the stated duration is 3 hours. The route starts at the car park at Plage de Trégana. From the hamlet of Le Cosquer to the starting point, it is marked in white and red; from the hamlet of Le Cosquer to the destination, it is signposted in yellow.

From Plage de Trégana, the marked coastal path leads eastwards. The municipality of Locmaria-Plouzané has 6 kilometres of coastline, which is served by the long-distance hiking trail GR 34.

Culture and maritime history

The western battery of Trégana was built in 1757 beneath the current car park. In 1858, the battery was replaced by a partially underground fort.

The navigation markers of Trégana were erected around 1870 and continue to serve as reference points for recreational boating. After the Brest–Le Conquet tram line was established in 1903, Trégana beach began attracting tourists.
