Landivisiau: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Landivisiau showcases its history and present day at several specific locations. The “Parcours d'interprétation du patrimoine” consists of nine information panels distributed throughout the town. Their educational panels contain chronological reference points, anecdotes and sketches. A town discovery guide is also available to download. The Landivisiau Cultural Department organises guided visits on site, tailored to groups, covering the sites of the “Parcours d'interprétation du patrimoine”.

Culture

The Espace Lucien-Prigent, a municipal exhibition venue, hosts a seasonally changing interdisciplinary programme of painting, sculpture and installations. It also houses a permanent exhibition about the sculptor Lucien Prigent; his collection was donated to the town of Landivisiau. The Espace Lucien-Prigent is located in a former manor house surrounded by the 2-hectare landscaped Parc de Kréac’h Kélenn.

The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes in Landivisiau was built in 1874. The roof, roof structure and panelling were restored in 2008. The Salon de Sculpture displays three-dimensional works from the region in bronze, clay, stone, wood and steel.

The Xavier-Grall Library is also one of the town’s cultural venues: its multimedia area offers PCs, gaming PCs and video game consoles, as well as a selection of books about cinema and music and a collection of sheet music. This area is also intended to host training sessions, film screenings and small performances.

Leisure

La Piscine comprises a balneotherapy area and a fitness area. Activities include aquagym, aquafitness, Aquados, programmes for expectant mothers, swimming lessons, strength training, step aerobics and Gym Tonic.

There is a miniature golf course in the Vallée du Lapic in Landivisiau. It is open to all age groups; clubs and balls are provided.

Local

The market held in the centre of Landivisiau every Wednesday promotes local produce and short supply chains. The panoramic restaurant at Landivisiau racecourse welcomes guests at every race meeting.
