Culture and History

The parish church of Saint-Derrien was rebuilt in 1855; its bell tower, dating from the 16th century, was preserved. The bell tower has two bell levels and a short octagonal spire decorated with cabbage motifs. Inside the parish church is a rare gallery with a bas-relief depicting the apostles.

Near the parish church of Saint-Derrien stands an old Calvary cross dated 1557, depicting Saint-Derrien on horseback. The Moulin de Lansolot began being used as a flour mill in 1720. The Moulin de Lansolot specialized in buckwheat.

Geographical Location

The D32 departmental road connects Saint-Derrien with Landivisiau and Lesneven. Saint-Derrien is approximately 30 minutes from Brest and Morlaix.
