Concarneau: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Ville Close is the historic center of Concarneau. At its entrance stands the Beffroi, built in 1906, which became a landmark of Concarneau. The fortifications of the Ville Close have been classified as a Monument historique since 1899. Even today, the Ville Close houses the oldest residential buildings in Concarneau, including houses with granite gable façades and half-timbered houses.

Culture

The Musée de la Pêche houses an extensive maritime collection featuring boats, working equipment, and fishing models, reflecting a historic activity in Concarneau. It has been closed to the public since November 3, 2025, due to 18 months of construction work. An approximately one-hour municipal tour exploring the historic districts of Concarneau begins at the Musée de la Pêche.

The Logis des gardes in the Maison du Patrimoine is the starting point for tours led by Concarneau's heritage service. The tower and the Logis des gouverneur in the Maison du Patrimoine provide access to the fortifications of the Ville Close. In addition, the Maison du Patrimoine hosts temporary exhibitions on local heritage every year.
