The municipality of Laz provides its hiking routes in paper form at the town hall and also digitally. The Menez du circular trail and the Les Crêtes circular trail start at Laz church.

Circular trails and landscape

The Menez du circular trail runs along the towpath on the opposite bank of the Canal de Nantes à Brest and offers views of the Montagnes Noires and the Monts d’Arrée. The Les Crêtes circular trail offers views of the Aulne Valley and the Monts d’Arrée; it also features a bread oven, a well and notable trees. The Fontaine Saint-Germain circular trail leads to a well that was renovated by volunteers in 2019.

Culture and history

In the cemetery of Laz, the calvary includes a central cross dating from 1563 and a Pietà with an inscription dating from 1527. The Menhir de Kermez has been classified as a Monument historique since 12 December 1910. At the Pavillon de chasse de Moniven, the façades and roofs have been registered as a Monument historique since 27 May 2008.

There is a monumental cross in Kerhervé near Laz; another monumental cross is located on Rue de Trévarez in Laz.
