Guipronvel: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Guipronvel features a remarkable architectural ensemble: the church of Guipronvel, together with its bell tower, ossuary, portal, échalier, and monumental calvary, forms a beautiful whole. It was renovated in 1992.

Culture and History

The Landrézoc-Goarem ar Gruguel tumulus has been protected as a historic monument by a decree dated June 17, 1963. The calvary of Toul an Dour is also one of the defining historic structures: it is a monument dating from the 16th century and approximately four metres high. It includes statues of Mary Magdalene and Christ with bound hands.

Other reminders of different periods include the Kerhouleau cross from the 14th century and the Milin ar Pont cross, dating from around 1600 and standing three metres high. The Poul Braz oratory was built in 1959 to commemorate the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes. The Toul an Dour oratory is very old, partly underground, and stands above a spring.

The Trémobian manor house, rebuilt in the 19th century and renovated later, is the only one of these historic estates that still exists. Its history is linked to the de Kergadiou family. The family came from Kergadiou Castle in Plourin and lived there from around 1400 until the French Revolution of 1789. In the territory of Guipronvel, seven castles and manor houses existed in the more distant past. Manoir du Château is located at the exit of the centre of Guipronvel, on the road to Plouguin.

Circular Routes in the Municipality

The municipality of Milizac-Guipronvel has circular horse-riding, hiking, and mountain-bike routes. The listed circular routes include the Kergroas hiking trail.
