Landudec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Landudec combines traditional cultural heritage with paths through the surrounding area, the Goyen River and several nearby beaches. Between the château, ecclesiastical art, nature trails and regional destinations, the village presents a diverse range of attractions.

Culture

The Château de Guilguiffin is an example of classical architecture and was built between 1750 and 1760. The Château de Guilguiffin and its park are partially protected as historic monuments. The parish church of Saint-Tudec et Sainte-Anne in Landudec also houses the Rosary Altar, a polychrome-painted wooden altarpiece with a central bas-relief and side niches.

Nature

Landudec has two hiking trails, each 10 kilometres long, that lead through the surrounding area and draw attention to smaller heritage sites along the way. The Circuit des Trois Ormes runs along the shady banks of the Goyen River. There is also a waterfall and various mills along this circular route.

The botanical walking trail of Lanrien leads through woodland and undergrowth. The route takes around 30 minutes and is recommended for families as well as for jogging. The Grand Prix des 3 Ormes takes place every summer, starting in Landudec, and includes 3- and 8-kilometre routes.

Events

The Fête des Trois Ormes takes place every year at the end of July. The programme includes a belote competition and a nature run.

Surrounding area

The beaches around Landudec include Plage de Penhors, Plage du Ris, Plage de Guendrez and Plage de Kermabec.

The Abbaye Notre-Dame de Kerlot, a historic site, is located near Landudec. In the wider region, there is the Musée des Beaux-Arts, a museum, and the Château de Kergos, a château. The Abbaye Notre-Dame de Kerlot (Quimper), also a historic site, is likewise located in the wider region.
