Plozevet: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Plozévet has seven kilometres of coastline with varied landscapes. Signposted hiking trails are open, and the nearby Bois Saint-Ronan has several walking trails, including a fitness trail.

Coast and trails

Kerrest Beach consists of fine sand and pebbles and is located near the Menhir des Droits de l’Homme. From 1 July to 31 August, the beach is supervised by the SNSM. A Tiralo is available there for people with disabilities.

The GR® 34, also known as the Customs Path, runs through this part of Finistère and allows visitors to explore Plozevet’s relatively uncrowded beaches.

History and architectural heritage

The Menhir des Droits de l’Homme is classified as a historic monument. Near Kerrest Beach, it commemorates the 600 men who died in a naval battle in 1797.

The Église Saint-Demet was built in several phases between the 13th and early 18th centuries. The church and churchyard were added to the supplementary list of historic monuments in 1951. The Chapelle Saint-Ronan dates from 1720 and was restored in 1979.

Harbour and village life

The small harbour of Pors-Poulhan is overlooked by a granite statue of a Bigoudène woman. The area is shaped by recreational fishermen who head out to sea in typical, brightly painted Jabadao boats.

Plozévet market takes place on Friday mornings at the Place de l’Église.

Getting around and on the water

Plozévet is served by BreizhGo bus route 953. In addition, a collective demand-responsive transport service is available by reservation.

Les Enfants de la Côte – Nautisme offers surfing lessons, stand-up paddleboarding, fit paddling, windsurfing or funboarding, and water hiking from its base in Plozévet.
