Culture and History
The archaeological site of Lesquélen comprises a motte surrounded by a ditch and a bailey with the remains of buildings, a chapel, and its calvary. The site has been classified as a historic monument since 1978.
The Menhir de Prat Lédan dates from the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age and is approximately 5,000 years old. It weighs 19 tonnes, is 7.30 meters high, and was restored and re-erected in 1985. The dome of the Église Saint Ténénan dates from 1762. The Mémorial U.S de Lormeau commemorates the soldiers of the 6th U.S. Armored Division.
Market and Tradition
The weekly market in Plabennec takes place every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Champ de Foire. The traditional Pardon at the Chapelle de Locmaria is celebrated every year on the last Sunday in August.
