Plougasnou: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Pointe de Primel is a protected natural area owned by the Finistère département. From its wild, rocky heights, you can see the harbour of Le Diben, Roscoff and Île de Batz to the west; to the east, the view extends as far as Trébeurden, Île Grande and the Sept-Îles.

Nature and coast

The GR 34 coastal path runs through the entire municipal area of Plougasnou. This means that the rocky heights of Pointe de Primel are just as much a part of the landscape as the sweeping views along the coast.

Water sports and harbour

Surfing Plougasnou offers surfing, bodyboarding and stand-up paddle courses and lessons, excursions, as well as equipment rental seven days a week throughout the summer. The harbour of Térénez can accommodate 180 boats on moorings, including eight berths for visitors.

Culture and history

The church in Plougasnou contains three Romanesque arcades from the 11th century. The Notre-Dame de Lorette oratory is located on the road connecting the town centre of Plougasnou with that of Saint-Jean-du-Doigt. It was built in 1611 by Jeanne de Keredan, the widowed lady of Kerestan, in honour of God and Our Lady of Loreto.

The cemetery chapel in Plougasnou was classified as a historic monument by decree of 27 March 1914. The ensemble consisting of the outdoor pulpit and cemetery cross was listed as a monument by decree of 16 August 1971.

Market and visitor services

The Plougasnou market takes place every Tuesday morning throughout the year at Place Général-Leclerc. The Plougasnou tourist office welcomes visitors year-round at the Maison Prévôtale, one of the oldest houses in the town centre of Plougasnou, and offers a ticket service for sea excursions, museum visits and sporting activities.

The Plougasnou tourist office can be reached from Morlaix either from the town centre or the railway station by bus route 20.
