Plage de Cap-Coz is a fine-sand beach with a gently sloping shore. Plage du Cap-Coz faces south and lies at the end of Baie de la Forêt. Pointe de Beg-Meil protects Plage du Cap-Coz from the winds.
Nature
The landscape includes Vasière du Cap-Coz, which is designated as a Natura 2000 site. A landscaped path along the Vasière offers several viewpoints over the area; it is also suitable for birdwatching. From October to February, hundreds of brent geese stay at Pointe du Cap-Coz.
Trails
The “Autour de la pointe du Cap-Coz” footpath is an easy 8.4 km hike lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes. The circular route is signposted at the car park on Route du Port in Cap-Coz. The GR34 coastal path also runs along Cap-Coz and offers panoramic views of Baie de la Forêt, Beg-Meil and the Fouesnant coast.
Water
Mudflat fishing is possible among the rocks and on the sandy foreshore of Pointe du Cap-Coz. Sailing is offered as an activity for visitors at Cap-Coz. The tourist office organises educational mudflat fishing excursions entitled “Trésors du Bord de Mer”.
Surroundings
Near Cap Coz lies Penfoulic, with a wooded area, ponds and walking paths. Penfoulic offers free access all year round and an accessible path for people with different disabilities.
