In Mellac, distinctive historic sites meet clearly defined landscapes. The parish church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens stands in the town center, while Feunteun Don forms its own landscape area with surfaced paths and an arboretum rich in species. Culture and History

The parish church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens was rebuilt in 1862 according to plans by diocesan architect Joseph Bigot and is partially protected as a historic monument.

The 13-hectare Moulin Blanc site lies in the Isole Valley and includes a mill dating from 1541. A waterwheel was installed there in 2016. The Chapelle de la Madeleine has a particular historical significance: it served the town of Quimperlé as a leper colony for the isolation and care of people suffering from leprosy. The chapel retains structural elements from the 15th century, a choir from the 16th century, and a bell turret from the 19th century. A pardon festival is held there every year.

The Manoir de Kernault was built in the 15th century and comprises a 32-hectare estate that can be explored in every season. Kernault’s protected historic area preserves traces of Gothic architecture, a 17th-century half-timbered granary, a private chapel, and a fishpond. Kernault Park remains accessible during the construction work.

The Feunteun Don site covers 13.3 hectares. Two surfaced paths connect the town center with Ty Bodel and Ty Groës. Feunteun Don also includes an arboretum with 40 different tree species.
