Pleyber-Christ combines culture, trails and activities in a local landscape whose discoveries range from historic church ensembles to river and valley areas.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Pierre is included in the tour of the parish districts with their enclosed churchyards. Its ensemble has been classified as a historic monument since 1914 and includes a richly decorated high altar and an elaborately ornamented reredos.

The Château de Lesquiffiou also offers a deep insight into the area's history: it was built in the 17th century, its rectangular central building is dated 1698, and a dovecote from the 16th century has been preserved. At the Télégraphe site on the border between Pleyber-Christ and Saint-Thégonnec, the foundation of the tower of a Chappe telegraph station preserves another historic setting.

The former stables of the rectory house the Salle Anne de Bretagne, an exhibition space for contemporary visual art. Depending on the wishes of the respective artists, artist meetings, workshops or guided tours with commentary may be offered in connection with the exhibitions. At the site of the former Glaslan paper mill on the river, the ruins of several buildings and traces in the ground of further buildings have been preserved. Kervern is also home to two characteristic houses dating from 1647 and 1662.

Trails through the Valley and Countryside

La tournée de Jeanne is a 6.5-kilometre interpretive trail with eight stations. Using clues, its storyline is intended to take a former grocer back to the 1960s. The development of this trail is part of the expansion of hiking trails in Pleyber-Christ; these include trails suitable for electric tricycles and people with reduced mobility.

The Boucle du bourg à la vallée begins in the centre of Pleyber-Christ next to the church. The six-stage, family-friendly Boucle de Riboul Potic leads through the Queffleuth Valley, where visitors can discover mills, the river, woodland and irrigated meadows. The highest point of this trail offers views over the Queffleuth Valley and the ridges of the Monts d’Arrée.

Nature, Animals and Active Experiences

The Domaine du Treuscoat combines a 15th-century manor house with 63 hectares of woodland, meadows and parkland, as well as 11 kilometres of trails. The estate includes the Parcabout, a course on nets stretched between trees.

La P'tite Ferme de Carole offers farm visits with animal care and a farmhouse snack. In the “P'tits éleveurs” workshop, visitors can get to know, feed and pet farm animals. Pesketa also offers fly-fishing lessons for wild trout in inland waters and provides waders and high-quality fishing equipment.
