Plogonnec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Plogonnec combines sacred buildings with paths whose routes and key details are described in a tangible way. Between chapels, churchyards and the Bois du Névet, this creates a link between local history and outdoor activity.
Chapels and Churches
The Saint-Pierre Chapel was built between 1588 and 1594 by Claude de Névet during the War of the League. The churchyard of the Saint-Denis-Seznec Chapel contains a calvary dated 1640–1641, with statues made of Kersanton granite, a work by the sculptor Roland Doré. The Saint-Thégonnec Chapel, also known as Saint-Trégonnec, dates from 1701.
The Saint-Théleau Chapel, its sacristy and its calvary were classified as historic monuments by decree of 12 November 1914. The Notre-Dame de La Lorette Chapel has a contemporary main window by LE BIHAN-POUDEC; the Saint-Albin Chapel was built in the 16th century. The tower of the Saint-Thurien parish church was built between 1656 and 1661.
Hiking
A hike is available from each of the chapel sites in Plogonnec. The hiking route starting at the Saint-Denis-Seznec Chapel is 6.3 km long, takes 1 hour 30 minutes and has an elevation gain of 45 m. The hiking route starting at La Lorette is 5.5 km long and takes 1 hour 30 minutes.
