Coast and Beaches
Different beach characteristics come together along the coast of Saint-Nic. Plage de Pentrez is a large beach with fine sand; safe swimming is possible at Pentrez Beach. Plage de Caméros is sheltered from the wind behind rocks, while Caméros Beach becomes visible as the tides change.
Activities by the Sea and on the Coast
The GR 34 long-distance hiking trail runs along the coast of Saint-Nic. In Saint-Nic, Au Grès du Vent offers supervised introductory sessions, courses and land-sailing excursions all year round. Au Grès du Vent also rents out stand-up paddleboards, bodyboards, mountain bikes and pedal go-karts.
Culture and History
The Chapelle Saint-Jean in Grand Launay includes a devotional fountain and a calvary. The Chapelle Saint-Jean in Grand Launay also has a floor plan in the shape of a Latin cross.
The Chapelle Saint-Côme and the rows of trees along the path that runs around the chapel to the south and west have been protected as historic monuments since 21 October 1947. The Chapelle Saint-Côme et Saint-Damien was built in the 16th and 17th centuries following a plague epidemic. Guided tours of the Chapelle Saint-Côme et Saint-Damien are available in July and August during opening hours.
The Menez-Lié Dolmen is dated to approximately 3000 BC.
