Lampaul-Ploudalmézeau: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Lampaul-Ploudalmézeau is a stage of the GR34 long-distance hiking trail. The dunes of Lampaul-Ploudalmézeau are part of a Natura 2000 site bordering white sandy beaches.

Culture and history

The bell tower porch of the Église Saint-Pol-Aurélien was built between 1626 and 1635. The bell tower has been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments since 18 October 1926.

The Manoir de Roscervo was built in 1617 and destroyed at the end of 1982. The walls of three enclosures, the outbuildings with a double gateway and a dovecote with a stepped roof have been preserved.

The traditional Goémon ovens on the Îlet du Bec are visible at low tide and illustrate the maritime heritage of the area. At the Kergounan Les-Trois-Croix site, there are three monolithic crosses dating from the Early Middle Ages. The Allée couverte de Pont-ar-Bleiz was classified as a historic monument by decree of 9 February 1940.

The “Chemin des Lavoirs” path is accessible behind the church; there you can discover two washhouses.

Landscape and activities

A guided tour of the Église Saint-Pol-Aurélien includes climbing 78 steps to viewpoints over Lampaul, the surrounding fields and the dune massif above Plage des Trois Moutons.

The official Circuit VTT Iroise No. 11 starts in Lampaul-Ploudalmézeau, is 15 km long and is rated as very easy. Plage des Trois Moutons offers opportunities for kitesurfing.

“La Poterie d'Art” is an exhibition space next to the workshop, where visitors can watch the work in progress. During the school holidays, it offers modelling classes for children aged 6 to 14 as well as pottery wheel classes for adults.
