Roscanvel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At Pointe des Espagnols, you can enjoy views of the Goulet de Brest, the Bay of Brest and the port of Brest. There is also a Napoleonic tower, a double caponier, hornworks and artillery batteries representing coastal fortifications from the 17th to the 20th century.

Historical Sites

The Circuit du Moulin du Seigneur runs through the fortified camp on the Crozon Peninsula and starts at Place de l'Église in Roscanvel. Fortifications, some of which date back to the Middle Ages, are located on the successive headlands. Roscanvel is also home to the restored Saint-Eloi Fountain: a covered monumental fountain with a basin surrounded by a low stone wall and an adjoining rectangular masonry washhouse.

Water and Sailing

The Centre Nautique de Roscanvel offers sailing courses for children aged 8 to 18 and for adults during the spring, summer and autumn holidays. It rents out kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, dinghies and catamarans for periods of two hours each. The Centre Nautique also organises half-day historical kayaking trips accompanied and secured by volunteers, occasionally lasting a full day and including a picnic. Kayak rentals in Roscanvel Bay make it possible to explore the bay from the sea and go around the islands.

Local Life

The Marché de Roscanvel takes place throughout the year on Friday mornings in the village square. The Régate du 15 août has been the traditional regatta of the Centre Nautique de Roscanvel for more than 60 years and is included in the calendar of the Groupement des Croiseurs d'Iroise.
