Huelgoat: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Huelgoat combines an oak and beech forest with unusual rock formations, waterways, and marked paths. One of the impressive features is the Roche Tremblante: the rock, weighing more than 100 tonnes, can be made to move easily with simple pressure.

Nature

The Huelgoat state forest is an oak and beech forest with diverse flora and fauna. At the end of Lake Huelgoat, the Rivière d'Argent plunges 20 metres and then disappears beneath the Chaos du Moulin.

On the Huelgoat route of the Geopark, you should carry a flashlight or headlamp for the Grotte du Diable. At Les Arbres du Monde au Huelgoat, visitors can explore the grounds independently and use several marked paths with a detailed map.

Culture

The Moulin du Chaos is the oldest building in Huelgoat; the year 1339 is carved into the lintel of its main door. The Centre d’Art of Huelgoat is located in the former “École des Filles”.

The Abbaye du Relec is a historic site in the vicinity of Huelgoat. Also nearby are Ménez Keryéven, a mountain, Roc ar Feunteun, a peak, Roc'h Trédudon, a peak, Roc'h Cléguer, a mountain, and the Chapelle Saint-Houardon, a church.
