Plourivo: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Penhoat-Lancerf Forest covers almost 600 hectares and is now considered the most significant coastal forest in northern Brittany. Almost 400 hectares of the Penhoat-Lancerf massif belong to the Conservatoire du Littoral. Because of its remarkable habitats, the Penhoat-Lancerf area is part of the Trégor-Goëlo Natura 2000 site.

Nature

The banks of the Trieux in Plourivo include mudflats and salt marshes with their characteristic flora. The Maison de l'Estuaire in Plourivo is located in the Penhoat-Lancerf Forest on the banks of the Trieux estuary, on land belonging to the Conservatoire du Littoral. It offers exhibitions, walks, performances and nature activities for children and adults, as well as a 5-kilometre walk lasting approximately two hours.

Trails

The red circular trail offers remarkable views of the banks of the Trieux and a maritime landscape that is particularly impressive at high tide. The Sentier botanique de Pont-Min leads through a damp, shady sunken lane, a wet and deeply cut valley, a deciduous forest and across a plateau overlooking the valleys. Along this trail, scientific signs explain the medicinal properties of the plants.

Culture

The Église Saint-Pierre in Plourivo houses two 15th-century funerary figures with carved coats of arms; both objects are classified as protected movable cultural heritage. It also contains a carved, polychrome-painted wooden statue of Saint Nicodemus.
