Langueux: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The “Langueux, les deux vallons” circular hiking trail is 10.9 km long and takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Nature and Trails

The Parc du Grand Pré connects the town centre of Langueux with the Grèves. It features two play areas for all age groups, a fitness area and a pump track.

The Digue des Grèves is a place for walks and leisure activities. It is also used to observe and interpret the marine and social life of the Grèves.

The Baie de Saint-Brieuc is designated as a nature reserve and a Natura 2000 site.

Culture and History

The Viaduc de Douvenant has been listed as a historic monument since 2018. The present-day building of the Chapelle des Grèves was built in 1837 and replaced a very old chapel that was referred to in 1602 as the Chapelle Saint-Léga or Chapelle de la Trinité. During the summer season, the Chapelle des Grèves hosts temporary exhibitions.

The Chapelle de Saint-Ilan was built from 1848 onwards according to plans by the architect Pelefresne and is one of the first examples of neo-Gothic architecture in the département.

At the Boutdeville site, the former Société des Tuileries et Briqueteries de Saint-Ilan preserves the remains of an industrial Hoffmann kiln, probably dating from the last quarter of the 19th century.

La Briqueterie houses a museum about the history of Langueux and a museum about the railways of the Baie.

The Tramway de Boutdeville circular track is 900 m long. Around ten restored railway vehicles are displayed on the site. The site is located near the GR 34 hiking trail.
