Duault: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Duault combines a varied landscape with distinctive traces from several centuries. A hiking route leads through the area around Callac, while different traces of Breton history can be seen in Landugen, at the Château de Rosviliou and at historic churches.

Hiking and landscape

The Circuit des Collines, Circuit 8, in Duault is 14 km long, has 255 m of positive elevation gain and takes 3 hours and 15 minutes. It starts at the car park by the calvary of Kernaëret on the road to Saint-Servais. The Circuit des Collines offers impressive views of the landscape around Callac.

Culture and history

The Prieuré de Landugen is a 16th-century priory in Duault. The chapel of the Prieuré de Landugen has been partially listed as a Monument historique since 17 December 1926. The Chapelle Saint-Jean in Landugen includes an enclosed area and a calvary. Its main construction phase took place in the third quarter of the 16th century; the nave and the west façade were completed in 1559.

The Château de Rosviliou also bears a trace of contemporary history: its southern section was built in the second half of the 18th century. The former Église paroissiale Saint-Maudez in Duault dated from the 16th century and was destroyed. The Église paroissiale Saint-Maudez was completely rebuilt by Le Guerranic in 1892.

Among the older cultural remains is the partially destroyed Allée couverte de Toul-an-Urs in Duault. It lies beneath a cairn whose oval ground plan is still recognisable. Today, the Allée couverte de Toul-an-Urs is 7 m long; originally, it was more than twice as long.

Nature

European nightjars are counted in the Forêt de Duault.
