Merdrignac: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Merdrignac’s landscape features include the 15-hectare Val de Landrouët landscaped park with two bodies of water and the La Hardouinais forest, which covers 1,650 hectares of the Merdrignac municipal area.

History and paths

The Manoir du Vieux Bourg is also known as the House or Château of Merdrignac. It was built in 1644 and has been listed as a historic monument since 29 November 1990. The Chemin du Duc leads from Val de Landrouët via paths, small roads and the former Roman road that connected Rennes with Carhaix, near the La Hardouinais forest.

Culture

In the wider regional surroundings of Merdrignac are Le Chêne de Guillotin, a historic site, La Fontaine de Barenton, also a historic site, Abbaye de Boquen as a monastery, Hotié de Viviane as a historic site, and Bel Air as a mountain.

Culinary delights

During a visit to Cidrerie le P’tit Fausset, visitors can see the presses and bottling machines and notice the smells of fermentation. Following the visit to the cidery, there is a tasting in the shop.

Getting around

The Tour de l’Etang du Val de Landrouët has a stabilised sand surface and is suitable for manual and electric wheelchairs as well as pushchairs.
