Pleumeur-Bodou: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In Pleumeur-Bodou, technological history and hands-on exhibition experiences take centre stage at the Cité des Télécoms. Its park covers 25 hectares and houses 3,000 m of permanent and temporary exhibitions. The Cité offers the 360° tour “Éternelle Notre-Dame – édition spéciale Cité des Télécoms” as well as an immersive tour through the Radôme. The Radôme is classified as a historic monument; the Cité is located at the site of the first transatlantic satellite transmissions.

Culture and history

For 30 years, the Village Gaulois has been committed to solidarity in Africa and uses its profits to build schools in a region in northern Togo. The Chapelle de Saint-Samson is a chapel in the Beaumanoir architectural style, with a bell-gable tower flanked by a turret with a dome.

Experiences

A session at the Planétarium de Bretagne lasts 50 minutes. A temporary exhibition in the foyer of the Planétarium de Bretagne can be visited before or after a session. The Planétarium de Bretagne presents 360° shows on one of France’s largest domes, focusing on astronomy and celestial phenomena.

Coast and trails

The Le tour de l'Ile Grande circular route is an approximately 7 km-long coastal trail around Île Grande, marked as a GR route, and takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. It passes the Marais de Kervoalant, beaches and the dunes of Toul Gwenn. The Base Nautique de l'Ile Grande offers paddleboarding excursions and rentals as well as coastal water walking. The Menhirs et chapelles route partly follows the well-known GR34 long-distance hiking trail.

Nature

The museum at the LPO de l'Ile Grande station presents the ecosystem of the 7 islands through a live video feed, films and multimedia content, dioramas and interactive modules. Guided tours led by the LPO are offered at Castel Erek.
