Culture and history

The Tour Saint-Eutrope is the bell tower and porch of Langourla’s former church. The octagonal structure has four pointed-arch openings and is flanked by a small tower with a spiral staircase.

The Chapelle Saint-Georges and the Chapelle Saint-Joseph also reflect the history of the area. The Chapelle Saint-Georges was almost completely restored in 1844. The Chapelle Saint-Joseph was almost completely rebuilt in 1905 and 1906 by workers from Langourla.

According to tradition, the Chapelle Saint-Gilles-des-Prés was built in memory of Gilles de Bretagne; it stands along the route taken by his funeral procession. The Chapelle Saint-Georges and its miraculous spring attracted pilgrims until the Second World War.

Water, outdoor activities and events

At the Plan d’eau de Langourla, there are play areas, a boules court, a barbecue area and a picnic area. Fishing is also possible there.

The Théâtre de Verdure is an outdoor venue for concerts, performances and festivals. The annual Jazz in Langourla festival brings the open-air stage to life, particularly in early August. The festival was founded in 1996.
