La Bouillie: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The tower of Ville Théart was built in 1864 by Victor Visdelou. It was once around 30 metres high; after the destruction of the kiosk that had been added to the top, it is now 26 metres high. The count used the tower for astronomical observations.

La Bouillie is about ten minutes from the beaches of Erquy. Distribus route 4 provides daily connections between Lamballe-Armor and Erquy and stops in La Bouillie.

Culture and History

The Château de la Ville Théart was built in the 16th century and completely destroyed by fire in 1951. The Chapelle St Laurent has been documented since the 16th century. During the plague epidemics from 1632 to 1640, it served as the parish church. The Église St Pierre was rebuilt in 1832 by J. Lefebvre.

Hiking

There are numerous hiking opportunities in and around La Bouillie, with routes starting in the municipality or its immediate surroundings. La Bouillie offers family hikes, more challenging circular trails and discovery tours.

Nature and Experiences

Le Jardin des Osmanthes is a botanical garden in La Bouillie. Its circuit takes visitors through 25 themed or nature-oriented areas. Guided tours of the Parcours Olfactif are available by reservation.

At the Atelier Parfum, all materials for the workshop are provided, including a 15 ml bottle. A session at the Atelier Parfum lasts approximately two hours and requires a reservation. Visitors can compose their own perfume there.

Tradition and Enjoyment

The memory of Saint Laurent is celebrated every year on the second Sunday in August with a Pardon. At Chez Josy, guests can enjoy galettes made from organic buckwheat flour in the evening.
