Aucaleuc: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Motte Féodale is a circular earth mound surrounded by two ditches, one of which is 5 metres wide. A church was built in the inner courtyard of the site in 1720; it has since been destroyed. The motte is considered the first evidence of settlement in the Aucaleuc area; the village developed around it over the centuries.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Symphorien was inaugurated in 1864. It replaced an older church that stood further north in the cemetery and has a Latin cross-shaped floor plan.

Nature and Trails

L'If Remarquable is a central feature of the cemetery. Circuit No. 10 Vallée du Ruet links the architectural heritage of Aucaleuc town centre with paths leading to the Ruet stream. The 5.7-kilometre hiking route runs along the Ruet stream, starts at the car park by the town hall and takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
