Tréguidel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Tréguidel is shaped by Gallic culture and proud of its local legends. The town’s history includes both visible evidence and traditional stories and local names. To connect with the regional transport network, Tréguidel is one of the municipalities served by the demand-responsive transport service Allo'TAD. Allo'TAD provides connections to stops on the BreizhGo coach routes to Saint-Brieuc, Guingamp and Paimpol.

Culture and History

The statue of Saint Tugdual dates from the 16th century. The Église Saint-Gwenaël de Tréguidel dates from the mid-19th century; its masonry contains a stone bearing the coat of arms of the Lords of Trémargat.

The inhabitants of Tréguidel are called “Boutous”; the nickname recalls their revered ancestors. Between Goaderno, Le Rest and Ville au Gallais there is a small chapel. A local tradition recounts that residents wanted to push the walls of a church that had become too small for the growing population outward.

The Chapelle de Pabu is a historic pilgrimage site in Brittany, closely associated with local traditions.

The Château de Boisgelin is located in the area around Tréguidel. The Plage des Rosaires beach is also located in the same area.

The islands Île Mez de Goëlo, Île Lemenez and Le Taurel are located in the wider regional area around Tréguidel. The closed Artothèque de Saint-Brieuc museum (fermée) is also located there. Historical buildings in the wider regional area also include Peter II Castle and Hôtel de Rohan.
