Ploézal: holiday apartments and houses

The Château de la Roche-Jagu is a stately residence built between 1405 and 1418. The Château de la Roche-Jagu and its park are open to the public and host exhibitions.

Culture and history

The permanent tour at the Château de la Roche-Jagu conveys everyday life in a Breton seigneurial estate in the late Middle Ages and explains how the manor house functioned. In Ploézal, the parish church of Saint-Pierre was built by Alain and Tugdual Lageat between 1845 and 1858.

Art and crafts

The art and cultural trail of Ploézal allows visitors to discover artists’ and craftspeople’s studios. The Jardin du Kaïlou is a freely accessible exhibition area for monumental granite sculptures in the open air. At the Seenu site, visitors can discover works ranging from small sculptures in the exhibition space to monumental sculptures in the Jardin du Kaïlou.

Paths and landscape

The Circuit des arts et du patrimoine is an easy 7.6 km circular walk lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. It includes the Chapelle Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul at Per-ha-Pol, dating from 1734 and built from slate and granite.

The park and gardens of the Roche-Jagu estate are free and freely accessible all year round. The 64-hectare natural areas of the Roche-Jagu park are criss-crossed by walking trails offering panoramic views of the Trieux Valley.
