Brusvily: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Brusvily lies on the Guinefort River and by the two Dinan reservoirs. The municipality’s hiking network comprises six circular trails; walks are possible in the forest, by the water and through heathland.

Nature

The Grande Boucle leads around the entire municipality of Brusvily. The Boucle du Bois des Mézières follows the Guinefort; it also passes the Pont Ruffier reservoir.

The Boucle du Vau Rouault reaches the dam by following the reservoir along the Chemin du Guinefort. It is 3.5 km long, while the Boucle des Croix measures 2.7 km.

Culture

The Église Saint-Malo de Brusvily is first mentioned in 1156 in a document from the Saint-Magloire de Léhon priory.

The Boucle des Lavoirs passes the washhouses and fountains of Brusvily. The Croix Miellé can be seen where the road from Brusvily to Dinan branches off towards the road to La Perchais. The Croix des Pestiférés can be seen near the Bosreux pond.

The Croix aux Ailes can be seen on the old road from Brusvily to Lannouée. In the Manoir, le Quengo, a former large hall with a low ceiling beneath the roof structure has been preserved; the two-storey room is characteristic of the manor houses of this period.

History

The Chemin des 7 Bornes is attributed to the Early Middle Ages or possibly to the Gallo-Roman period. The Boucle du Bosreux follows it.

The historic route of the Tro Breizh very probably passed through Brusvily. Brusvily and neighbouring villages were crossed by the historic route from Broons to Dinan, also known as the Chemin Du Guesclin; seven boundary stones were probably erected in the Middle Ages.
