Plérin: Apartments and Holiday Homes

Plérin combines beaches, maritime activities, coastal paths and traces of history within a compact thematic area. This character is particularly evident at Les Rosaires and Tournemine beaches, as well as at Pointe du Roselier.

Coast and Landscape

Les Rosaires Beach is a 2-kilometre-long sandy beach. A coastal path runs behind a protected pebble ridge. This ridge is an important heritage site in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc because it is home to one of the finest concentrations of sea kale in Armorica. The small seaside resort of Les Rosaires was established at the beginning of the 20th century and includes villas by the sea known as “les Rosariennes”.

From more than 60 metres above sea level, Pointe du Roselier offers panoramic maritime views. It is also home to the remains of an 18th-century cannonball furnace, which formed part of a defensive installation.

At Tournemine Beach, swimming, water sports and fishing are possible at low tide. The Centre nautique de Plérin is located at Plage de Tournemine and is open year-round. It offers catamaran sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, equipment hire, coastal hiking and coastal rescue activities.

Water Sports

The Centre municipal de voile de Saint-Brieuc in Plérin rents stand-up paddleboards, single or double kayaks, windsurf boards, Fun Boats, Wings and catamarans. It also offers supervised water sports activities year-round or by quarter, for participants aged 5 and over through to seniors, including catamaran sailing, Optimist sailing, windsurfing, Fun Boat, Wing and Wing Foil.

Hiking

The “Le panorama de la pointe du Roselier” circular trail is 3 kilometres long and easy. It starts at the Pointe du Roselier car park and leads to the GR34 coastal hiking trail. The “Tournemine – Parfond du Gouët – Les Rosaires” route leads uphill from the beach through the lushly vegetated Parfond du Gouët valley.

Culture and History

The maritime heritage of Plérin-sur-Mer is shaped by the coastal architecture of Port du Légué. The buildings and houses along its waterfront date from the 16th to the 19th century. The Vieille croix, a monumental cross listed as a historic monument since 7 December 1925, stands on Rue de la Croix-Mérovingienne.

For the chronological context of Pont du Légué, an up-to-date notice is important: from 31 July to 2 October 2026, the Pont tournant du Légué swing bridge will be closed to motor traffic but will remain accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.
