Culture

In the entrance area of the municipal office in Zahnašovice, a memorial plaque commemorates the soldiers who fell in the First World War. Zahnašovice is home to a church built in 1938. It is a rectangular building with an articulated façade, a four-sided clock tower and a slender four-sided pyramidal roof. A stone statue of the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child, dating from 1894, stands beside the church. A large mosaic of the Visitation of Mary is located on the wall behind the altar. The memorial plaque in the municipal office and the church, with its structure, tower, roof, statue and mosaic, are among the notable cultural sites in Zahnašovice. From the church, you can continue towards another architectural monument in the municipality, a wayside cross, in the direction of the small airfield at Holešov.
