Třebětice brings together remarkable cultural monuments and distinctive landscape features within a small area. Between the village green, field paths, mill canal and watercourse, you will encounter buildings and places of remembrance with very different histories. The Kostel svatého Vendelína in particular shapes the appearance of the village and provides a tangible connection to the history of Třebětice.

Culture

The Kostel svatého Vendelína dates from 1794 and marks a transition to Classicism. The free-standing single-nave building comprises a presbytery, nave, sacristy and tower. Since 3 May 1958, the Kostel svatého Vendelína has been listed as a cultural monument; its register number is 21820/7-6176. This places its architectural form, date of origin and official monument status directly alongside one another.

On the village green next to the church, within the built-up area of Třebětice, stands a monument to those who fell in the First World War. It was erected in 1920. The centrepiece is a two-metre-high obelisk made of Bohemian syenite, bearing a bronze depiction of Christ's head with a crown of thorns. The location beside the church and the design of the monument form a clearly recognisable ensemble on the village green.

Another place of remembrance lies outside Třebětice at the junction of the Holešov–Třebětice–Količín roads, near a bus stop. The Památník zastřelených consists of a granite slab on an elongated plinth and an obelisk erected beside it. It was completely restored after 2015. In the fields towards Hulín, the Výklenková kaplička v poli also stands beside a field path. The three-sided, plastered structure from the 18th century has a niche on each side and was completely restored in 2021.

The Socha svatého Josefa is also one of the visible landmarks of the village. The stone statue stands on the village green of Třebětice. It was originally located on a field path behind the village before being moved to the village green. The statue was restored in 1999.

Nature

One of the most striking landscape features is the Buk u mlýna. It grows on plot 346 in the cadastral area of Třebětice, near the former Čmelov No. 32 mill. The beech is 20 metres high, its crown measures 22 metres across, and its trunk circumference is 381 centimetres. Its age is estimated at 150 years. The precise measurements give the individual tree just as tangible a presence as its connection to the former mill.

The Žabínek flows through the administrative area of Třebětice and joins the Rusava near Hulín. Another distinctive spot lies at the confluence of the Mlýnský náhon and the Rusava in a wooded area: the Námezník can be reached from Třebětice along the mill canal. Thus, in Třebětice, not only buildings and monuments but also bodies of water, woodland and the course of the mill canal form distinctive points of reference.
