Architectural Heritage

The church has a simple, rectangular and undivided floor plan. Its gabled roof carries a lantern-like Sanktusnikus. Thus, both the clear basic form and a characteristic detail of the roof structure have been preserved in this building.

Parts of the Gothic fabric have been preserved in Morkovice Castle, particularly the basement areas and the enclosing masonry of the ground floor in the north and east wings. Morkovice Castle is not open to the public. The surviving structural elements and the protected heritage site of the church therefore belong to different areas of the local architectural history.

History
