Rusava is located in the Hostýnské vrchy Nature Park. Rusava combines the themes of landscape and nature, water, winter sports and buildings of cultural and historical significance.

Nature

The Rusavské chodníčky educational trail, established around 2007 with the support of the Zlín Region, comprises seven stops. It provides information about the landscape and nature around Rusava and the Hostýnské vrchy, the original inhabitants of Rusava, and the local animal and plant life. The trail runs above Rusava along the edge of pastures and meadows near Skalný and Klapinov.

The tourist signpost Rusava, Kino serves as the starting point. It can be reached by car or by regular bus services from Kroměříž, Holešov and Bystřice pod Hostýnem.

Water and winter

Koupaliště Rusava has a large, 43-metre-long pool with a slide and water fountains. The water in the pool is heated using solar collectors. Access to Koupaliště Rusava and its individual facilities is barrier-free.

Lyžařské středisko Rusava is located directly in Rusava and has two drag lifts serving slopes for beginners and active winter sports enthusiasts. The ski resort also offers ski and snowboard equipment rental as well as the Eskimák ski school, which provides ski and snowboard lessons. The Rusava ski resort also offers evening skiing under floodlights.

Culture

The stone Evangelical Church of the Holy Trinity is located in the centre of Rusava.

Muzeum Rusava is located in the municipal office building and shows what Rusava looked like in past centuries. The exhibits include embroidered Wallachian costumes, old tools, school equipment and wooden grain chests hollowed out of tree trunks.

Muzeum Rusava can be visited by prior arrangement by telephone or email. This arrangement is therefore part of the access procedure described for visiting the museum.

Parts of the ground plans, the old frames of the narrow gate and the remains of the castle tower have survived from Křídlo Castle. Rusava is also home to Kašparova vila, a preserved example of folk architecture. The distinguished painter and illustrator Adolf Kašpar had it built for himself and his family in 1932.
