Kostelany lies on the northeastern foothills of the Chřiby mountain range. The village is surrounded by forests on three sides, bringing the natural environment and the history of the village together within a compact geographical area. Between forest paths, open landscapes, and small historic sites, Kostelany reveals several different sides that can be discovered during a stay.

Nature

The Chřiby Forests around Kostelany offer opportunities for walks and more demanding hikes. From Kostelany, the open landscape to the northeast also provides a view of Hostýn. Another way to explore the surrounding countryside is Ranč Kostelany, which offers accompanied horseback rides into the nature around the ranch with an experienced instructor. Children aged 3 to 8 can receive instruction from an instructor in horse riding as well as grooming, saddling, and leading horses.

Culture

One of Kostelany’s notable memorial sites is the sandstone atonement cross. It is considered the oldest surviving monument in Kostelany and probably dates from the first half of the 17th century. It stands in the forest below Kameňák, next to Klimešova studánka and above the Kudlovický potok stream.

The T. G. Masaryk monument stands in a small park in the upper part of Kostelany. The monument was made and unveiled in 1938. Following its restoration, it was ceremonially unveiled again on August 26, 1945. Its history also includes the fact that residents of Kostelany preserved the damaged statue of T. Masaryk after the Nazis ordered its removal.

Routes

The Kolem Kostelan trail begins at the bus stop in Kostelany. Along its route, it passes a bridge belonging to the unfinished Baťa motorway. This bridge dates from around the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. The trail therefore connects a starting point in the village with a structure whose history extends into the landscape of Kostelany.

Visitors can view and compare the offer pages. Each offer page allows them to check the exact location, type of accommodation, and stated occupancy. They can also verify the included services, individual price components, and the booking and cancellation conditions. The specific fields shown for each individual offer are decisive. The requested period and number of travelers should likewise correspond to the conditions stated there. This keeps differences between offers understandable without presupposing additional features or a particular suitability. For comparison, it is also possible to check whether the stated occupancy matches the number of travelers and which cost components are expressly listed. When reviewing the conditions, it is worth checking whether cancellation deadlines or different cancellation rules apply. What matters is that only the fields visible on the respective offer page are used; no additional characteristics of an individual offer can be inferred from the location itself.
