Nový Jimramov is located in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. The village extends across a wide area in the valley of the Fryšávka River and on the adjoining slopes.

Nature and Trails

In the cadastral area of Nový Jimramov, the ruins of Skály Castle (Štarkov) stand on a distinctive rock formation at an altitude of 664 metres. A red-marked hiking trail passes through Nový Jimramov and leads to the nearby castle ruins, which are also known as Štarkov. Štarkov is accessible to visitors as a natural monument via blue- and red-marked hiking trails.

Culture and History

A small protected log house, house number 40, has been preserved in Nový Jimramov as an example of regional folk architecture. The paper mill was still in operation after 1850 and produced very high-quality paper, which was sold in Vienna and Prague.

Winter Sports

Ski Areál Jimramov is located in Nový Jimramov at an altitude of approximately 650 metres. The resort has a ski school offering individual lessons for children and adults, as well as equipment rental and servicing. Skis, snowboards and helmets, among other items, are available for hire. There are also downhill runs of varying difficulty levels.
