Martinice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Martinice presents its history at specific sites and through traces handed down over time. The municipal bell tower was extensively restored in 1979 and 1980. The monument to those who fell in the First World War was erected in 1922, relocated in 1979 as part of the village improvements, and still stands there today.

A special historical trace came to light in 1954 during construction work on a residential building in Martinice: a find containing 241 Prague groschen from the time of Charles IV and 18 groschen from the time of Wenceslas IV. The 1954 Martinice coin hoard is kept at the museum in Velké Meziříčí.

The traditional Masopust in Martinice includes a procession of masked figures. In 2025, it started on 22 February at 1 p.m. at the cultural centre. Traditional slaughter specialties could be sampled on the same day during the Masopust. The traditional raising of the maypole also takes place at the festival grounds in Martinice.

The multi-purpose sports field in Martinice has new floorball goals that can be used by people taking part in sports.
