History

Baliny has been mentioned in written sources since 1317. As early as the 14th century, Baliny had a farmstead and a mill. The now-disused Čermákův mlýn mill is one of the oldest mills in the Balinka catchment area; it is mentioned in written sources as early as 1381. The Doležalův (Valův) mlýn mill was probably built by the landed estate in the 15th century. The historical dates provide distinct reference points alongside the nature and route themes.
