Dolní Libochová: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dolní Libochová stretches along both banks of the Dolnolibochovský pond. The pond was created towards the end of the 15th century and is legally classified as a significant landscape feature. Together with protected buildings, signposted trails and distinctive natural sites, this creates a local landscape closely connected with water, history and nature.

Water and Landscape

The Velký libochovský pond covers more than 20 hectares. In the area of Dolní Libochová, the Libochovka stream also forms a natural axis of the territory. The functional regional biocentre RBC 293 – Lán is located in the southern part of the cadastral area.

Nature

In the vicinity of Dolní Libochová, 2 km to the north in the Černý les forest, lies the Dolnolibochovský hadec, with its characteristic vegetation. It has a rich population of the fern Asplenium cuneifolium. To the west of Dolní Libochová, the Velký Navrátil is also located nearby; it is known for breeding Křižanov carp.

Culture and History

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Dolní Libochová was built in 1889, is protected as a cultural monument and is listed together with a bell tower. The stone road bridge in Dolní Libochová is also protected as a cultural monument. It is a vaulted structure with a water overflow from the pond.

At the eastern edge of Dolní Libochová, the stone bridge on the road to Meziboří spans the pond outlet with a single high arch made of unworked rubble stone.

Trails and Transport

A red-marked hiking trail runs through Dolní Libochová on the Ořechov–Dolní Libochová–Mitrov section. Cycle Route No. 5235 also passes through the village on the Heřmanov–Dolní Libochová–Meziboří section. Dolní Libochová is served by bus transport; the walking catchment areas of the bus stop extend across the entire built-up area.
