The Chapel of the Holy Trinity (Kaple Nejsvětější Trojice) stands in the villagescape of Chlumek. The detached Classicist chapel with a small bell tower dates from the first third of the 19th century and contributes to the design of Chlumek village square. It is listed as a registered monument. To the right of the façade is a stone cross with a Calvary group.
Nature
Chlumek is located in the Českomoravská vrchovina at an altitude of approximately 586 metres above sea level. The surrounding area is characterized by hilly terrain with predominantly coniferous forests, extensive meadows, and small fields.
Events
The masked procession passed through Chlumek on Saturday, January 27, 2024, starting at the fire station. The Masopustní průvod of SDH Chlumek is a traditional masked procession. The Chlumecký bluegrass festival took place on August 5, 2023, as its 15th edition at the Výletiště in Chlumek. At the Rozloučení s létem event in Chlumek on September 5, 2025, 66 children took part in a programme with ten disciplines. The Volejbalový turnaj in Chlumek was announced for June 7, 2025, as its 22nd edition.
Getting Around
The 12-kilometre Naučná stezka městyse Měřín educational trail leads to Chlumek and then continues on a yellow-marked hiking route towards Měřín. The educational trail runs over asphalt and paved field roads.
