Věžná: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In Věžná, a ski lift illuminated for night skiing meets marked trails: the SK Věžná ski lift is illuminated for night skiing. From Věžná railway station, a blue-marked hiking trail leads uphill towards Střítež; above Věžná, a yellow-marked hiking trail passes a trail junction.

Trails and dates

The hiking route “Věžná railway stop – Věžná – Smrček – Pernštejn – Nedvědice” runs from Věžná railway station via Věžná, Smrček and Pernštejn to Nedvědice. The Věžná tourist signpost is located in the village square at an intersection of the main roads.

The sixth edition of the “Po modré do Habří” tourist hike was scheduled for Sunday, 27 October 2024. In 2022, the “Za krásami okolí Nedvědice” hiking event was held for the 49th time.

Landscape

Věžná lies in the valley of a stream that flows into the Nedvědička River from the left. The yellow-marked hiking trail from Věžná offers a view of Bor across the Nedvědička valley.

History and culture

The Church of Saint Martin was built of stone on a slope above Věžná in the 16th century and houses a life-size depiction of the crucified Christ. A contribution of CZK 69,000 is recorded for 2015 for the restoration of the Church of Saint Martin, which is designated as a cultural monument.
